History


FOCUS Business Technologies was established in February 1999 in response to the growing need for reliable IT engineering services.

At that time there was an enormous amount of competition and very little in the way of differentiation and consequently predictable rationalisation occurred throughout the industry. FOCUS Business Technologies was not immune but our approach and our core skills remained in high demand.

Today FOCUS has evolved into one of the most respected IT engineering organisations in Australia with an envious portfolio of customers that spans the nimble small business through to the corporate multi-nationals.

A revitalised FOCUS is a natural result of building on the existing quality of engineering workmanship and the established approach methodology that is unique to FOCUS.

Timeline

February 1999 – FOCUS opens its doors. Company founded by Directors, Chris Voukidis and David Woo.

July 2000 – FOCUS completes it first full financial year of business with turnover of over $2,000,000.

May 2001 – With a team of over 20 full-time staff FOCUS establishes application development and consulting services team.

November 2002 – FOCUS successfully completes 1300+ user email migration nationally ahead of time and budget for global investment bank.

April 2003 – FOCUS launches SOE (Standard Operating Environment) that drastically improves customer IT TCO.

August 2004 – FOCUS is involved in many aspects, including project management, of one of Australia’s largest relocations.

June 2005 – FOCUS provides consulting services to well-known global hardware and software manufacturer.
